What is Biofeedback?
This is a technique which uses computer-aided feedback to train the patient to self-control their visceral behavior. Real-time recording and digital representation of physiological signals on the screen will be used for evaluation of mental states and further modulation of these states using multiple visual and auditory feedback loops.
Advantages of Biofeedback
Non-invasive, complementary to medical treatment, learning experience to the patient.
Procedure:
After an initial education session on Biofeedback, the patient will be exposed to suitable therapy type and training for about 5-6 sessions. Number of sessions depends on degree of learning and the objective improvement in the parameters. Serial assessments will help modify the session type and design.
